Biography

2016: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Finished 13th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the 10,000 meters. Had best marks of 9:02.15 in the 3,000, 15:20.96 in the 5,000 and 32:13.80 in the 10,000. For his career, had best marks of 2:02.09 in the 800, 4:00.03 in the 1,500, 8:46.99 in the 3,000, 15:17.21 in the 5,000 and 32:13.80 in the 10,000.

2015: Had a solid first season with the Golden Eagles. Finished ninth in the CCAA Championships in the 10,000 meters. Also competed in the 5,000. Had best marks of 2:02.09 in the 800, 4:00.03 in the 1,500, 8:46.99 in the 3,000, 15:17.21 in the 5,000 and 32:16.91 in the 10,000.

At East Los Angeles College: Placed eighth in the state in track and field in the 10,000 meters and eighth at the Southern California Track & Field Championships. Was also a state qualifier in cross country in 2012. Had best times of 15:26.25 in the 5,000 and 31:52.46 in the 10,000.

At Lincoln High School: Won Northern League championships in cross country in 2009 and 2010 and also placed third in the league in the two-mile.

Personal: Son of Israel Arroyo and Eva Rincon. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys cars, skateboarding, hiking and going to the beach. Lists placing eighth in the California State Championships in the 10,000 meters in track as his most exciting experience in sports.
