2009: Competed well once again for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best times of 2:02.02 in the 800 meters, 4:06.98 in the 1,500, 9:34.70 in the 3,000 and 16:53.95 in the 5,000. Finished 11th in the 800 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Also finished 13th in the 1,500 and 20th in the 5,000. For his career, had best marks of 2:01.54 in the 800, 4:06.98 in the 1,500, 9:34.70 in the 3,000 and 16:53.95 in the 5,000.
2008: Recorded a season's best time of 4:12.48 in the 1,500 meters at the CCAA Championships. Also had a best time of 2:01.54 in the 800 meters. Earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.
2007: Had a best time of 4:15 in the 1,500 meters at the Occidental Invitational.
At Long Beach Wilson High School: Ran the 1,600 meters in 4:38 and the 800 meters in 1:59. Graduated with honors and six A.P. classes. Competed in cross country, soccer and track and field.
Personal: Son of Chuck and Laura Brewer. Majoring in fire science. Enjoys sailing and surfing. Lists “taking ugly team photos” as his most exciting experiences in sports.
