Cal State LA Athletics

2009: Had a strong season for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention after being part of Cal State L.A.'s 4x100 relay team that finished third in the conference. Had best marks of 11.16 in the 100 meters and 22.59 in the 200. Finished 12th in the 100 and 14th in the 200 at the conference championships.

At Cuyamaca College: Had best times of 10.95 in the 100 meters and 22.11 in the 200 meters that are on the program’s all-time Top-10 list. Was the team’s Most Valuable Athlete.

At Monte Vista High School: Competed in track and field. Earned the team’s Most Inspirational award.

Personal: Son of Rolland and Adrienne Slade. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys drumming, singing, cars and “nerding” out. Lists going to the Southern California Championships in the 100 meters as his most exciting experience in sports. Gives thanks to his family for all its support.
