Cal State LA Athletics

2013-14: Had a strong second season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 27 games and started six times. Played a total of 553 minutes. Averaged 2.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Was tied for fourth on the team in rebounds. Had a season-high eight points in a 76-66 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills (11-30-13). Had a season-high 11 rebounds in a 71-70 win over UC San Diego (2-28-14). For his career, appeared in 51 games and started 16 times. Played a total of 1,100 minutes. Averaged 3.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

2012-13: Made significant contributions in his first season with the Cal State L.A. program. Appeared in 24 games and started 10 times. Was second on the team in rebounding and was one of the team’s top defenders. Averaged 4.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Had a season-high 12 points at San Francisco State (1-12-13) and had 10 points in a win against Cal State Stanislaus (1-19-13). Had a season-high 12 rebounds to go along with six points in a win at Sonoma State (1-11-13). Also had 11 rebounds in a home win over San Francisco State (2-15-13).

At Riverside City College: Earned second-team All-Conference honors for the Tigers and helped team reach the regional final. Averaged 5.3 points per game and led the team with 6.2 rebounds per game, including 20 in a playoff win over Mt. San Jacinto College.

At Santa Monica High School: Played three years of varsity basketball and helped team reach CIF 1A Championship Game. Earned the team’s Chairman of the Board Award in 2009-10, the team’s Defensive Player of the Year Award and an Academic Achievement Award in 2008-09.

Personal: Son of Levi and Lovella Singer. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys visiting art and history museums, traveling, visiting and touring historical sites. Lists playing in the Honda Center for the CIF Championship as his most exciting experience in sports. Says he has two adult siblings, a sister, Maria and a brother, James. Also has a younger sister, Sarah.
