Summary

Biography

2009: Had a second outstanding season with the Golden Eagles and completed her sensational two-year career with the program. Appeared in 32 matches and 122 sets. Led the team for a second straight year with 434 kills. That total is No. 6 all-time in program history. Was also second on the team with 28 service aces and 358 digs. Earned All-West Region honorable mention from the American Volleyball Coaches Association and first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors for a second straight year. Was named to the NCAA West Regional All-Tournament team after helping the Golden Eagles reach the regional final. Had a career-high 29 kills and 19 digs in a five-set match against Western Washington on Aug. 29. The 29 kills were No. 6 all-time in program history. Had 22 kills and 16 digs in a five-set win over Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 6. Reached double figures in kills 24 times and had double figures in digs 20 times. Had 17 double-doubles. Had a career-high four aces in a three-set win over Alaska Fairbanks on Aug. 28. Named Cal State L.A.'s Exceptional Student-Athlete of the Year (female) for 2009-10. For her career, appeared in 61 matches and 229 sets. Had 838 kills, 70 aces and 680 digs.

2008: Had a tremendous first season with the Golden Eagles and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player. Earned AVCA and Daktronics All-America honors as well as first-team All-West Region and first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association recognition. Was named the CCAA Newcomer of the Year. Led the team with 403 kills. Recorded a season-high 28 kills at Humboldt State on Sept. 20. That total is tied for seventh on Cal State L.A.’s all-time single-match list. Had a season-high 79 attacks in that match, the second-highest single-match total in the program’s history. Reached double figures in kills in 25 of 29 matches. Had a team-high 1,138 attacks, which was the ninth-highest single-season total in the program’s history. Also led the team in service aces with 42 and was second in digs with 322. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors twice in a row for the weeks of Oct. 6-12 and 13-19.
 
At Southern Idaho: Earned first-team All-Scenic West Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore in 2007. Led her team with 449 kills and averaged 3.54 kills per game. Also led the team in aces with 52 and was third in blocks (86) and third in digs (299). Team finished 10th in the national championship tournament. Earned second-team honors as a freshman in 2006 and led the team in blocks.
Personal: Daughter of Ldzislaw and Stomislawa Bulawczyk. Majoring in marketing management. Enjoys cooking and listening to music. Was a member of the Polish Junior national team and was part of a team that won a world championship bronze medal and a European championship. Lists those championships as her most exciting experiences in sports.
