Biography

2024-25: Had another sensational season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Started all 27 games he appeared in and played a total of 885 minutes. Averaged 13.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Was second on the team in scoring, was third in minutes played and led the team in assists. Was also third in steals. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had a season-high 25 points while going 8-of-10 from the floor and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line at Chico State (2-20-25). Matched that point total and a season-high eight rebounds at San Francisco State (3-1-25). Surpassed 1,000 points for his career as part of an 11-point performance at Chico State (1-25-25). Had 24 points at Cal State Monterey Bay (2-13-25) and 23 points at Stanislaus State (2-15-25) while going 18-of-25 from the floor in the two wins. Had a season-high nine assists to go along with 11 points at Cal State San Bernardino (1-2-25). Reached double figures in scoring 16 times and scored 20 or more points six times, including five of his last six games. For his career, appeared in 96 games with 87 starts and played a total of 2,972 minutes. Averaged 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Finished his career with 1,132 points. Reached double figures in 56 games and scored 20 or more points in 15 games.

2023-24: Had a tremendous season for the Golden Eagles and established himself as one of the top players in the West Region. Earned first-team All-CCAA honors and was named to the All-CCAA Tournament Team after helping the Golden Eagles to their first-ever conference tournament title. Also earned second-team All-District honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Appeared in 30 games with 29 starts and played a total of 959 minutes. Led the team in minutes played and was second in scoring with 12.3 points per game. Also led the team with 119 assists (4.0 per game) and averaged 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. Hit a team-high 49 baskets from 3-point range. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors twice. Was honored for the week of Nov. 13-19 after scoring 28 points and grabbing a career-high nine rebounds in a road game at Central Washington (11-17-23) and following up with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists in a 77-73 win over Northwest Nazarene (11-18-23). Earned the award for a second time for the week of Dec. 4-10 after scoring a season-high 29 points in a 95-83 home win over Stanislaus State (12-9-23), two days after putting up 12 points, five rebounds and eight assists in an 82-62 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (12-7-23). Had a career-high 11 assists at Sonoma State (12-2-23). Scored 20 or more points four times and reached double figures in scoring 20 times.

2022-23: Had another sensational season for the Golden Eagles in his second year on the court with the program. Was one of the team’s most improved players. Earned second-team All-CCAA honors. Appeared in 23 games with 22 starts. Played a total of 683 minutes. Averaged 13.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Was second on the team in scoring, second in rebounding and first in assists per game. Also led the team with 32 steals. Poured in a career-high 31 points and five rebounds in a career-high 39 minutes at Cal State Monterey Bay (2-4-23). Had 14 points and hit the game-winning basket in the final seconds of a 65-63 win at Cal Poly Pomona (1-5-23). Had 20 points and five rebounds against Concordia (11-12-22). Had 20 points, three rebounds and three assists against Northwest Nazarene (11-17-22). Had 20 points, four rebounds and three assists at Cal State San Marcos (1-1-23). Had 20 points and a season-high eight rebounds at Cal Poly Humboldt (1-12-23). Had 18 points, six rebounds and a season-high six assists in an 87-80 win over Chico State (2-11-23). Reached double figures in scoring 16 times and had 20 or more points five times.

2021-22: Had an outstanding first season for the Golden Eagles in his first year on the court with the program. Appeared in 16 games with nine starts. Played a total of 445 minutes. Averaged 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. Led the team in assists. Had a sensational final week of the season for the Golden Eagles. Scored a season-high 27 points with four rebounds at Cal Poly Humboldt (2-24-22). Followed that up with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists in an 86-62 win at Sonoma State (2-26-22). Also had 13 points, a season-high six rebounds and three assists at San Francisco State (12-9-21). Had a season-high nine assists to go along with 10 points against Cal State San Bernardino (2-12-22). Made his Cal State LA debut and scored nine points in 25 minutes against Biola (11-12-21). Made his first career start and had five points and five rebounds at Concordia (11-13-21). Reached double figures in scoring four times.

2020-21: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At Salesian College Preparatory: Was a part of one of the most dominant high school programs in California. Was on a team that won four Tri-County League championships and three NCS championships. Team had a 10-0 league mark in 25-7 overall record in 2020.  Earned third-team All-State honors as a senior and was the Most Valuable Player of the 2019 Chick-fil-A Classic Tournament in South Carolina and the 2019 NorCal Clash. Averaged 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game as a senior. Became the 10th-leading scorer in program history with 1,012 career points and tied for seventh in program history with 113 career victories.

Personal: Son of Barry and Angela Bell. Majoring in liberal studies. Enjoys art and video games. Lists winning the Chick-fil-A Classic Tournament in South Carolina as his most exciting experience in sports.
