Cal State LA Athletics

2023-24: Made a big impact for the Golden Eagles in her one year with the program. Appeared in 26 games with one start. Played a total of 419 minutes. Averaged 7.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Was second on the team in rebounding. Made her Cal State LA debut and had eight points and nine rebounds in a 79-54 win over Seattle Pacific (11-10-23). Had a season-high 15 points and 11 rebounds for her lone double-double of the season at Cal State Monterey Bay (2-3-24). Had a season-high 15 rebounds to go along with seven points in an 81-52 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (12-7-23). Made her lone career start for the Golden Eagles and had 10 points and nine rebounds in 19 minutes against Cal State Dominguez Hills (2-29-24). Reached double figures in scoring nine times and double figures in rebounding three times.

At Cal Poly Pomona: Appeared in 15 games with eight starts for the Broncos in 2022-23. Averaged 12.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4. Averaged 14.0 points and 16.5 rebounds per game in road wins at Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State. Had a 20-point, 23-rebound game at San Francisco State. The 23 rebounds tied a Cal Poly Pomona program record. Reached double figures in scoring nine times and rebounding nine times. Had seven double-doubles.

At San Joaquin Delta College: Appeared in 31 games with 29 starts and helped Mustangs go 30-2 and reach the CCCAA Championship Game as a sophomore in 2021-22. Led the team in scoring (14.7 points per game), rebounds (11.3), steals (2.3) and blocks (2.4). Played in 30 games with 23 starts as a freshman in 2019-20. Led the team in scoring (14.5), rebounds (7.6) and blocks (1.7). Played in 61 games during her career and averaged 14.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 2.0 blocks per game.

At East Union High School: Earned four letters in basketball and two in track and field. Was a team Most Valuable Player.

Personal: Daughter of Donald and Janese Payne. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys singing. Lists playing in a championship game as her most exciting experience in sports.
