Cal State LA Athletics

2016-17: Made contributions early in the season and completed her career with the program. Appeared in nine games with five starts. Played a total of 142 minutes. Averaged 4.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Had a season-high nine points and four rebounds in a 78-67 win at Cal State East Bay (12-19-16). Had six points and a season-high eight rebounds at Seattle Pacific (12-10-16). Made her Cal State LA debut and had four points, seven rebounds and a season-high five blocks in a 48-44 win over Point Loma (11-25-16). Made her first start and had two points, seven rebounds and three blocks in a 63-56 win over Sonoma State (12-3-16). Earned the department's 2016-17 Billie Jean King Award as Cal State L.A.'s top female athlete.

2015-16: Did not play or practice with the team in her first year at Cal State LA.

At Long Beach State: Was an All-Freshman Big West Conference selection in volleyball after playing in every match for the 49ers in her first year with the program. Played in nine matches as a sophomore.

At Capistrano Valley High School: Earned four varsity letters in basketball and three in volleyball in high school. Earned first-team All-League honors and was the South Coast League Most Valuable Player in both basketball and volleyball. Also named the No. 51 “Senior Ace” by Prep Volleyball after her senior season.

Personal: Daughter of Jaime Serna and Guillermina Arreola. Majoring in art. Enjoys art, movies, sports, eating and spreading world peace. Lists her first solo block against the University of Washington as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes that she is friendly.
