Summary

Biography

2010: Competed in her second season with Cal State L.A.’s cross country program last fall. Finished 32nd in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 23:29.4 over 6,000 meters. Was the team’s No. 1 runner at the Cal State Fullerton Invitational with a time of 24:10.7 over 6,000 meters. Also ran well for Cal State L.A.’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams in 2011. Earned All-West Region honors in indoor track in the 800 and as a member of the 4x400 relay team. Had a best time of 2:14.96 and posted a provisional qualifying mark in the 800. Finished fourth in the CCAA in the 1,500 in outdoor track and field. Had best times of 60.27 in the 400, 2:17.29 in the 800, 4:43.28 in the 1,500 and 10:19.83 in the 3,000 in outdoor track.
 
2009: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles and was a red-shirt.
 
2008: Competed in the fall for Cal State L.A.’s cross country team as a freshman. Was consistently in the top-seven for the Golden Eagles. Finished 25th in the CCAA Championships with a time of 23:43.9 over 6,000 meters and helped the team to a second-place conference finish. Placed 55th in the NCAA Division II West Region championships and 136th in the NCAA Division II National Championships. Also ran track and field for the Golden Eagles in the spring (2009) and had best times of 2:21.87 in the 800, 4:44.25 in the 1,500 and 18:46.50 in the 5,000.
 
At San Fernando High School: Earned a varsity letter award. Competed in cross country and track and field. Had best times of 18:26 in cross country, 5:14 in the mile and 2:16 in the 800 meters. Was a city champion in cross country and a member of the school’s Honor Roll in 2007.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jose Sanchez and Adriana Gudino. Majoring in social work. Enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her brothers. Lists qualifying for the state championships in high school and competing in the cross country nationals for Cal State L.A. in 2008 as her most exciting experiences in sports.
