LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's men's and women's track and field teams will be represented by five student-athletes who were part of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships fields announced by the NCAA on Tuesday.
Sprinters
Drew Hill and
Wallace Aflamah and hurdler
Nicholas Aninze qualified for the men's championships, while jumper
Summer Stevenson and thrower
Kailea Satterwhite qualified for the women's championships.
The championships will be hosted by Emporia State in  Emporia, Kansas on May 21-23.
Hill posted his best times of the season last week to get into the 100 and 200 meter fields. His time of 10.27 in the 100, achieved at the Franson Last Chance Meet in Azusa on Saturday, moved him up to No. 15 in the 22-runner field.
His season's best of 20.87 in the 200 achieved at Cal State LA's Very Last Chance Meet on Sunday, moved him to No. 22 in that field.
Aflamah, the California Collegiate Athletic Association champion in the 100 meters, had a best time of 10.30 that puts him in the No. 21 spot at nationals.
Aninze, the CCAA champion in the 400 hurdles, is tied for the sixth-best qualifying time in that event with a mark of 51.18.
For the women, Stevenson has the No. 2 mark in the nation in the triple jump with an effort of 42-4Â that she posted at Azusa Pacific's meet on Saturday. Stevenson, the CCAA triple jump champion, now has the No. 2 mark all-time in the outdoor triple jump at Cal State LA.
Satterwhite, the CCAA champion discus champion, has the No. 12 mark in the nation with a throw of 163-5.
Hill and Aflamah will be compete in the 100 prelims and Aninze will be in the 400 hurdles on Thursday, May 21 while Satterwhite and Stevenson will be competing in the discus and triple jump finals on Friday, May 22. Hill will compete in the 200 prelims on Friday, May 22.
The finals in the 100, 200 and 400 hurdles will be held on Saturday, May 23.
