LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's
Wallace Aflamah has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 16-22, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Aflamah had an exceptional day at the Redlands Invitational, setting two personal bests and earning two NCAA provisional qualifying standards. Aflamah posted a time of 10.30 in the 100 meters to earn a provisional qualifying standard and record the third-fastest time in the NCAA this season.
Aflamah also served as the anchor on the 4x100m relay team, which moved into ninth on the NCAA Performance List with a provisional qualifying time of 40.68. The junior from Greater Accra, Ghana, also recorded a time of 21.24 in the 200m to place third in the event and move into fifth on the CCAA Performance List.Â

This is the first career CCAA Track Athlete of the Week award for Aflamah and the first for the Golden Eagles in 2026.
Cal State LA will be at UCLA this week for the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival (Mar. 27) and the Jim Bush Legends Meet (Mar. 28).
