LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's women's tennis team played short-handed once again on Tuesday in a tough match at No. 40 Concordia.
The Golden Eagles, down to just five healthy players, fell to Concordia, 6-1, Tuesday in Irvine. Cal State LA (2-10) continues to be without 
Courtlyn Lam and 
Savaughna Mayo, while Concordia (11-1) won its ninth straight match.
Without a No. 3 doubles team on Tuesday, the Golden Eagles dropped the doubles point when 
Alexandra Hincu and 
Hideka Takamura fell to Concordia's Jessica Bear and Tiffany Carrillo, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles. Cal State LA's 
Sarah Olmos and 
Sakura Kurokawa had a 4-3 lead at No. 1 doubles when the doubles point was decided.
Kurokawa, who fell in a tiebreaker to Concordia's Sophie Rachor at No. 2 singles last week, turned the tables on Tuesday with an impressive 6-3, 6-2 win.
Olmos fell to Heather Richards at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1, Takamura fell to Carrillo, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 3 singles, Hincu fell to Bear at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-2 and 
Lea Rolland fell to Alyssa Zayat at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Cal State LA had to forfeit the No. 6 singles match.
Cal State LA will return to action on Friday with a match at Holy Names.
