LONG BEACH -- Cal State LA's beach volleyball team put the finishing touches on its 2022 season and the No. 1 pairs team of Ashley Dittmann and Iane Henke turned in two more masterpieces Saturday at the Long Beach State Sand Courts.

Dittmann and Henke were sensational once again, completing an amazing weekend with two more wins over NCAA Division I pairs. The Cal State LA duo beat CSUN's Lauren Eknoian and Emily Sparks, 21-16, 21-14, to start the day and then beat Cal State Bakersfield's Milica Vukobrat and Cameron Solberg, 21-17, 21-16, to end it.

Dittmann and Henke won seven straight matches to end the season and were 10-1 over their last 11 contests. They finished the season with an incredible overall record of 12-3 that included six wins over Division I opponents, including pairs from No. 4 Loyola Marymount and No. 12 Long Beach State on Friday in Santa Monica.

They were 4-0 over the weekend and dropped only one set in the four wins.

Cal State LA fell to CSUN, 4-1, on Saturday morning and then battled Cal State Bakersfield before falling, 3-2, in the afternoon. The Golden Eagles earned a second point against Cal State Bakersfield at No. 2 pairs where Emily Elliott and Eliza Cannon beat Hana Makonova and Sophia Hladyniuk in two hard-fought sets, 21-18, 23-21.
