LOS ANGELES -- Due to COVID-19 protocols, Cal State LA's men's basketball team has had its two California Collegiate Athletic Association games this week canceled.
The Golden Eagles had games tonight at Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State East Bay on Saturday canceled.
Cal State LA had returned from a five-game absence last week and posted home wins over Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State, but will be sidelined once again.
Per NCAA and CCAA regulations, the canceled games will not be rescheduled and will be counted as a "no contest" for both teams.
Qualification for the CCAA Basketball Tournament will now be determined by winning percentage. The top six teams in the men's and women's standings by winning percentage will play March 3-5 in Arcata to determine who will earn the CCAA's automatic bids to the NCAA playoffs.
Cal State LA is now scheduled to return to action at home next Thursday against Cal Poly Pomona.
The Cal State LA women's basketball team is still set to play at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday and Cal State East Bay on Saturday as scheduled.
