The second half was tight throughout, but the Golden Eagles were fighting an uphill battle since taking their last lead at 57-56 after a layup by Moore and tying the game at 59-59 after a pair of free throws by Escobar with nine minutes to go. Stanislaus State proceeded with an 8-0 run and led the rest of the way.
