The second set was much like the first and Cal State LA jumped out to a 10-4 lead after kills by Grubbs and Dittmann and an Alaska Anchorage attack error. The Seawolves pulled to within to 19-17 before kills by Grubbs and Dittman opened up a four-point lead and kills by Dittmann and Santos and an ace by Dittmann ultimately ended the set.

The third set was extremely competitive and the Golden Eagles had to rally from an early 11-6 deficit. Cal State LA eventually built a 20-17 lead after a kill by Elliott and made it 21-18 following a kill by Dittmann. Alaska Anchorage staved off three match points and took a 26-25 lead following a kill by Maywin, but the Golden Eagles got a kill by Elliott to tie it and blocks from Grubbs and Elliott and Grubbs and Santos to win the match.
