Biography

2024: Completed a record-breaking career for Cal State LA’s defending national champions. Broke her own conference single-season record with 623 kills and set a new CCAA career mark with 2,011 kills, becoming the first player in conference history to eclipse 2,000 kills. Led the nation for a second straight season in points per set with 6.24 per set and was second with 5.28 kills per set. Set a new single-match record for kills under the current scoring format with 35 in a five-set match against Seattle Pacific on Sept. 6. Had 71 service aces, which was just one shy of her program record set in 2023. Was named the West Region Player of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for a second straight season and earned first-team All-America honors for a second straight season as well, becoming the first player in program history to earn first-team honors in back-to-back seasons and the third to earn All-America honors for a third time. Earned first-team All-CCAA honors for a third straight season and picked up her fourth All-Conference honor. Earned AVCA National Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 14-20 and CCAA Player of the Week honors for the weeks of Sept. 9-15, Sept. 30-Oct. 6 and Oct. 14-20. Had 32 kills and a season-high 37 points in a four-set NCAA Tournament win at Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 22. Had 25 kills and 34 points in NCAA Tournament match against San Francisco State on Dec. 5. Had 104 kills and 125.5 points in Cal State LA’s four postseason matches. Named to the CCAA All-Tournament team. Reached double figures in kills in 27 of 29 matches and had 20 or more kills in 17 matches, including four of 30 or more. Was on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2025) and competed in four matches at No. 1 pairs. Earned 2024-25 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2024 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For her career, appeared in 123 matches and 462 sets. Had 2,011 kills, 81 set assists, 189 service aces, 745 digs, 272 blocks and 2,348.5 points. Finished her career No. 1 in program history in kills, aces and points and No. 8 in blocks.

2023: Put together the best season in program history while leading the Golden Eagles to their first NCAA Division II championship as well as a second straight NCAA West Region championship and a CCAA co-championship. Was named the CCAA Female Athlete of the Year. Set a new program and CCAA record with 606 kills and kills per set with 4.77. Led the nation in points per set (5.69), which was also a new program and conference record. Also led the team in aces with 72, which is also a program single-season record. Was the NCAA Championships Most Outstanding Player after a remarkable 76 kills, 12 aces and 93 points in 12 sets during the three matches at the championship site. Also earned All-Tournament honors at the NCAA West Regional and CCAA Tournament. Earned first-team All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association and D2 Conference Commissioners Association. Was named the West Region Player of the Year by both organizations and earned first-team All-Region honors from both. Was named the CCAA Player of the Year and earned first-team All-CCAA honors for a second straight year. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors twice for the weeks of Sept. 26-Oct. 1 and Oct. 30-Nov. 5. Played in all 34 matches and 127 sets. Reached double figures in kills in 33 of 34 matches and had 20 or more kills 10 times. Had six double-doubles. Had a season-high 30 kills and a career-high-tying 15 digs in five-set win over Wayne State in national quarterfinal match on Dec. 7. Matched her career high with 34 points two days later with 27 kills, six aces and two blocks assists in the national championship match victory over West Texas A&M. Had 22 kills and a sizzling .588 hitting percentage to go along with six aces in a three-set win at Cal State San Bernardino in the regional final on Dec. 2. Also had 29 kills in four sets against Cal State San Bernardino in CCAA Tournament title match on Nov. 18. Also competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2024). Picked up a pair of wins with Ashley Dittmann at No. 1 pairs. Also teamed with Matalisi Danielson in one match at No. 2 pairs. Earned 2023-24 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2023 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2022: Played a starring role for Cal State LA’s NCAA West Region and CCAA champions. Earned second-team All-America honors from the AVCA, becoming the first sophomore in program history to earn first, second or third-team All-America honors. Also received first-team AVCA All-West Region and first-team All-CCAA honors. Was named to the All-West Region second team by the D2 Conference Commissioners’ Association. Was sensational during Cal State LA’s postseason run and was named to the All-Tournament teams at the NCAA West Regional and NCAA Championships. Had 35 kills, six aces and 14 digs in six sets at the national championships and 49 kills in 10 sets while leading the Golden Eagles to the West Region title. Appeared in 30 matches and 103 sets. Led the team with 387 kills and 454.5 points. Was second in the CCAA in both categories. Was also third on the team in service aces with 35 and fifth in digs with 153. Had a season-high 26 kills and 31 points in a five-set win over Simon Fraser on Aug. 27. Had 20 kills and a career-high six aces in a dominating performance in a national quarterfinal win over Gannon on Dec. 1. Had a career-high 15 digs in a four-set win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 8. Had 84 kills and 13 aces in 16 sets in five NCAA playoff matches. Competed well for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2023). Played in all 10 matches, five at No. 2 pairs and five at No. 3 pairs.

2021: Had a sensational first year for the Golden Eagles in the fall. Was named the CCAA Freshman of the Year and earned second-team All-CCAA honors. Was also named to the NCAA West Regional All-Tournament Team. Appeared in 30 matches and 114 sets. Was second on the team in kills with 395 and points with 435.5. Was also third on the team in blocks with 56 and sixth in digs with 163. Had a season-high 30 kills in a five-set win over Drury on Sept. 11. Also had 18 kills and set season highs with five blocks and 14 digs against Azusa Pacific on Sept. 3. Had a season-high three aces at Sonoma State on Nov. 11. Reached double figures in kills in 22 matches. Recorded four double-doubles after reaching double digits in digs four times. Earned All-Tournament honors at the Nanook Classic. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors. Was named Cal State LA’s Co-Freshman of the Year. Competed well for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2022). Played in 15 matches. Went 1-0 at No. 3 pairs and played in 14 contests at No. 2 pairs, all with Eliza Cannon.

At Sage High School: Competed in volleyball and basketball. Was the school’s Female Athlete of the Year and also the San Joaquin League Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. Was on the Daily Pilot’s first-team Dream Team four years in a row with basketball. Helped lead her team to a CIF championship in basketball as a senior. Earned Daily Pilot Player of the Week awards in 2018 and 2020.

Personal: Daughter of David Elliott and Tiffaney Cordova. Majoring in biology. Enjoys hiking, baking and painting. Lists winning the 2023 NCAA National Championship as her most exciting experience in sports.
