LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's women's volleyball team wrapped up its home schedule with a three-set win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday on Senior Night.
The Golden Eagles honored

Daisy Crenshaw,
Alejandra Negron,
Jeshmarie Suarez and
Karla Santos in pre-match ceremonies and then beat the Otters, 25-16, 25-21, 25-17 in University Gym. Cal State LA (16-7, 12-4 CCAA) remains in third place in the CCAA with two conference matches remaining.
Negron had 13 kills and seven digs to lead the Golden Eagles, while
Emily Elliott had nine kills, five digs and two blocks. Santos had seven kills in just 14 swings and had a team-high 13 digs.
Abby Knapp had eight kills for Cal State Monterey Bay (11-9, 5-11 CCAA).
Eliza Cannon had 34 set assists, five kills and nine digs, while Duarte had eight kills and four blocks. Suarez had 11 digs and closed to within six of the program's all-time record, currently held by April Reyes with 1,606.
Cal State LA had a 46-28 advantage in kills and hit at a .257 percentage to .116 for the Otters. The Golden Eagles also had a 7-4 edge in blocks and had six aces with two service errors, while the Otters had three aces and five errors.
The Golden Eagles scored the first six points of the match, including a pair of aces by Santos to take early control. The Golden Eagles got to set point at 24-13 and, after the Otters staved off three of them, a kill by Negron ended the set.
The second set was much closer and the Otters held leads of 10-5 and 11-7 before the Golden Eagles rallied. Cal State LA scored four straight points on a kill by Elliott, two attack errors and a block by
Shelby Grubbs and Cannon to take an 18-15 advantage and led the rest of the way. Kills by Santos and Elliott got the Golden Eagles to set point and a kill by Duarte gave them a 2-0 lead.
Cal State LA scored the first five points of the third set, including another ace by Santos, but the Otters battled back and took a 10-9 lead. Cal State LA led by just one at 16-15 before scoring four straight points on a kill by Negron, an attack error and kills by Cannon and
Haley Roundtree to get some breathing room. A kill by Duarte ultimately ended the match.
Cal State LA will wrap up the regular season with a pair of road matches beginning Thursday at Sonoma State.
