Summary

Biography

2024: Had another sensational season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 29 matches and all 118 sets and was one of only two players to play in all 118 sets. Led the team with 87 blocks, including a team-high 14 solo blocks and 73 block assists. Was also third on the team with 189 kills and third on the team with 239.5 points. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had a career-high 12 kills and three blocks in a CCAA Tournament first-round victory against Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 21. Also had 12 kills in a five-set win over Simon Fraser on Sept. 12 and 12 kills in a four-set win at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 24. Had a career-high nine blocks at San Francisco State on Oct. 26. Earned a 2024-25 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2024 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For her career, appeared in 112 matches and 396 sets. Had 514 kills, 45 set assists, 92 digs, 40 solo blocks, 323 block assists and 363 total blocks. She finished her career third in blocks assists and third in total blocks.

2023:.Had an outstanding season in the fall while helping the Golden Eagles to their first NCAA Division II national championship as well as a second straight NCAA West Region title and a CCAA co-championship. Was named to the NCAA National Championships All-Tournament team after three great matches in Pittsburgh. Also got named to the CCAA All-Tournament Team. Finished the season with 125 block assists and 131 total blocks. Both totals are No. 2 all-time for a single season in program history. Played in all 34 matches and in 124 of 127 sets. Was third on the team with 155 kills and a team-high 131 blocks. Tied a career-high with nine kills against Lewis on Sept. 9. Had eight kills in five other matches. Matched a career-high with eight blocks in a five-set win over West Florida on Sept. 9. Had six kills and seven blocks in a three-set win over Missouri-St. Louis in a national semifinal match on Dec. 8. Competed once again for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2024). Competed with partner Shelby Grubbs in eight matches at No. 2 pairs and two at No. 3 pairs. Went 1-1 at No. 3 pairs with Grubbs and 1-1 with Matalasi Danielson at No. 2 pairs. Earned a 2023-24 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and 2023 CCAA Fall Academic recognition.

2022:. Showed great improvement in her second year with Cal State LA’s indoor volleyball program in the fall and was a key contributor for the NCAA Division II West Region and CCAA champions. Appeared in all 32 matches and all 111 sets for the Golden Eagles. Led the team in blocks with 109 and was fifth on the team in kills with 120 and fifth in points with 182. Tied a career high with nine kills against Central Washington on Sept. 1. Had a career-high eight blocks in a three-set win against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 7. Also had seven blocks to go along with three kills in a three-set win against Central Washington in the NCAA West Regional. Had five kills in five swings for a 1.000 hitting percentage in a three-set win at Cal State East Bay on Sept. 17. Earned 2022-23 CCAA All-Academic honors and 2022 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2023). Played in all 10 matches, four at No. 3 pairs and six at No. 4 pairs

2021: Had a good first season on the court for the indoor team in the fall. Appeared in 17 matches and 43 sets. Recorded 50 kills and 36 blocks. Had a season-high nine kills in a four-set win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 1. Also had eight kills and a season-high seven blocks in a four-set win at Stanislaus State on Oct. 9. Had seven kills and hit at a .600 percentage in a three-set win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 16. Played in 13 matches, all at No. 4 pairs with Jaden Grova. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors and received 2021 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2022).

2020: Earned 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Was on Cal State LA’s indoor volleyball roster in the fall, but did not compete in any matches and was a red-shirt. Was on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2020) and competed in matches at No. 4 and No. 5 pairs.

At Foothill High School: Earned second-team All-East Bay Athletic League honors in 2018 and All-League honorable mention in 2017. Team won an EBAL championship in 2018-19. Competed in volleyball, soccer and softball.

Personal: Daughter of Harold and Lecia Roundtree. Majored in business management and is pursuing her Master’s degree in marketing and real estate. Enjoys painting and reading. Lists winning the 2023 national championship as her most exciting experience in sports. Also lists going to the Final Four in 2022 with her college teammates and winning the division title during her senior season in high school against their rival school as other exciting experiences.
