Broussard allowed six hits and one earned run over 7 2/3 innings to improve to 3-0 on the season. Gentner came in and got the final four outs for his fifth save of the season.
Cal State LA got two of its runs in the second inning thanks to a two-run triple from
Sean Watkins.

Anthony Ayala drew a walk prior to Watkins lining a shot to center.
The Coyotes got one run back in the third on a run-scoring single by Lucas Martinez and tied it in the fourth on a run-scoring groundout by Jordan Simon.
The Golden Eagles then got the go-ahead run in the fifth on a double to left by Broussard that drove in Watkins.
Staked to a one-run lead, Broussard sailed into the eighth and got the first two outs before an error extended the inning. Gentner came on and ended the inning with a strikeout and worked a flawless 1-2-3 ninth.
