Jim Saia said. "This is UCLA, they have four or five NBA players out there. I'm proud of our guys, we just have to keep working and get a lot better."
Cal State LA surrendered the first nine points of the game, but countered quickly with a layup by Woods and a 3-pointer by
Kenneth Cyprian to make it 9-5. UCLA led by as many as 22 points, 40-18, before the Golden Eagles made a strong run and got to within nine points, 43-34, after a 3-pointer by

After UCLA opened up large second-half leads, the Golden Eagles closed well at the end.
