Cal State LA Athletics

2017-18: Had a sensational season in his one year with the program. Appeared in 27 games and started 21 times. Played a total of 636 minutes. Was second on the team in scoring with 12.1 points per game and was second in rebounding with 5.5 boards per game. Also led the team in blocks with 49. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Scored a season-high 24 points in a win over Cal State Monterey Bay (11-17-17). Had season highs with 13 rebounds and five assists in a win over Bethesda. (11-21-17). Made his Cal State LA debut and had 10 points and 12 rebounds in a win against Holy Names (11-10-17). Started and played 25 minutes in the game. Reached double figures in scoring 18 times and scored 20 or more points three times. Reached double figures in rebounding four times and had four double-doubles.

At New Mexico State: Appeared in 86 games for the Aggies in his three years with the program. Started the final 25 games and appeared in all 34 contests as a sophomore in 2015-16. Averaged 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Had a career-high 20 points in a game against UT Rio Grande Valley.

At Christian Faith Centre: Earned first-team all-league honors. Averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. Played in the All-Canada Classic All-Star Game.

Personal: Son of Nicole Pennie. Majoring in individualized studies with a minor in sociology. Lists winning the conference tournament twice and playing in the NCAA Tournament as his most exciting experiences in sports.
