Cal State LA Athletics

2014: Had another outstanding season to complete a sensational four-year Cal State LA career. Appeared in 25 matches and 94 sets. Was second on the team in kills with 268, second in digs with 260 and third in points with 308.5. Also had 28 assists and 12 aces. Had a season-high 20 kills in a win over Western Oregon on Sept;. 4. Had a season-high 17 digs in a win at San Francisco State on Oct. 17. Reached double figures in kills 14 times and in digs 14 times. Recorded eight double-doubles. For her career, appeared in 104 matches and 374 sets. Had 979 kills and was 10th all-time in digs with 1,024. Also had 126 blocks, 77 aces and 1,128.5 points.

2013: Had her best season as a junior for the Golden Eagles. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Was second on the team in kills with 397 and second in digs with 420. Was also second on the team in points with 450, second in service aces with 29 and fourth in blocks with 41. Had a career-high 31 kills to lead the Golden Eagles to a five-set win at UC San Diego on Oct. 19. The 31 kills are No. 3 all-time on Cal State L.A.’s single-match list and the most in a match since rally scoring. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 14-20 following that match. Reached double figures in kills in 22 of 30 matches. Had 20 or more kills four times. Reached double figures in digs in 22 matches. Set a new career high for digs with 26 in a win over Humboldt State on Oct. 26 and equaled her career high for service aces with four in matches against Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 4 and Nov. 9.

2012: Had a second productive season for the Golden Eagles. Was fourth on the team in kills with 200 and third in digs with 199. Also had 16 service aces. Appeared in 25 matches and a total of 87 sets. Had a season-high 15 kills in matches against Western Washington on Aug. 30 and Florida Southern on Aug. 31. Also had 14 kills in a five-set win at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 25. Reached double figures in kills 11 times. Had a season-high 22 digs in a four-set win over Point Loma Nazarene on Sept. 8. Reached double figures in digs 10 times.

2011: Had an impressive first season for the Golden Eagles as a freshman. Was fifth on the team in kills with 114, fourth in digs with 145 and third in service aces with 20. Recorded a season-high 16 kills in a four-set win over Cal State East Bay on Oct. 15. Also contributed 13 kills in a four-set win over Sonoma State on Oct. 28. Had 11 kills and a season-high four service aces in a three-set win at Cal State Stanislaus on Nov. 10. Had a season-high 15 digs at Chico State on Nov. 11. Reached double figures in kills four times and in digs five times.

At Temecula Valley High School: Was the varsity captain and named one of Prep Volleyball’s Top-10 Players to Watch. Earned first-team All-Valley and first-team All-League honors. Led the league in kills and was the Outstanding Offensive Player. Also earned an Academic Achievement Award. Played three years of varsity volleyball in high school. Earned first-team All-League and second-team All-Valley honors in 2009 and second-team All-League honors in 2008.

Personal: Daughter of Aaron and Dorecca Silveyra. Majoring in fire protection. Enjoys the outdoors. Lists sweeping UC San Diego in 2013 and beating them in La Jolla after getting 31 kills as her most exciting experiences in sports. Says she also coaches club volleyball.
