Biography

2025: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her third and final year with the women's soccer program. Appeared in 18 games with one start and played a total of 1,109 points. Had three goals and four assists for 10 points. Led the team in assists and points and was tied for second in goals. Was seventh on the team in minutes played. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention for a second time. Made her lone start in the season opener against Western Oregon and played 38 minutes in a 0-0 tie. Scored a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win at Vanguard on Sept. 13. Picked up an assist on a goal by Kristin Mijares that gave the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead and then made it 3-0 with an unassisted goal in the 40th minute. Had the second goal in the 23rd minute of a 2-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 27. Earned her first CCAA Player of the Week award for the week of Sept. 22-28 after that match. Opened the scoring with a goal in a 2-0 victory over Chico State on Oct. 12. Had a pair of assists in a 2-1 win at Westmont on Sept. 6 and had an assist on Reyna Roman’s goal in the 72nd minute of a 1-0 victory over Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 26. Played a career-high 71 minutes in a 1-1 tie against Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 31. For her career, appeared in 38 games with five starts. Played 1,940 minutes. Had eight goals and six assists for 22 points.

2024: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her second year with the program. Appeared in 11 games with one start. Played a total of 515 minutes. Led the team in scoring with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Missed seven games due to injury before returning for her lone start of the season in a CCAA Tournament first-round game against Cal State Monterey Bay in University Stadium on Nov. 10. Made her season debut and scored her first goal in a 4-2 win over Westmont on Sept. 5. Gave the Golden Eagles the lead for good with a goal just 24 seconds before halftime after converting a through ball from Giselle Uribe. Had the first multi-point game of her career with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win at Stanislaus State on Oct. 6. Assisted on the first goal of the game by Mia Del Muro in the 23rd minute and then gave the Golden Eagles a 3-0 lead with a goal in the 57th minute on an assist from Jassmin Ortiz. Scored the first goal in the 45th minute on a left-footed shot with an assist from Destiny Moedano in a 2-0 win over Sonoma State on Oct. 11. Also scored the game-tying goal in the 83rd minute of a 1-1 draw with Point Loma on Sept. 14. Also had an assist on a game-winning goal by Del Muro late in the first half of a 1-0 victory over Vanguard on Sept. 11. Played a career-high 62 minutes in a 1-0 win at Chico State on Oct. 4.

2023: Had a promising season for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Was limited to nine games and three starts. Played a total of 316 minutes. Had one goal and one assist for three points. Made her Cal State LA debut and scored the game’s only goal in the 65th minute of a 1-0 win at Concordia on Aug. 31. Was injured during a 1-0 win against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 23 and missed the next six games. Returned and got the first start of her career in a 2-0 win over Chico State on Oct. 20. Was sidelined again, but returned to start NCAA playoff games against Simon Fraser on Nov. 16 and Seattle Pacific on Nov. 18. Played a total of 86 minutes in the two games. Played a season-high 57 minutes at Western Washington on Sept. 9.

At Taft College: Was the Central Valley Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 and the conference’s individual offensive leader and leading point scorer. Scored 20 goals with six assists for 46 points. Seven of the goals were game-winners. Had a four-goal game at Porterville on Nov. 11.

At Eastside High School: Was the Golden League’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2021-22 and helped team to a league championship in 2018-19. Was on the principal’s Honor Roll all four years. Was a PLTW Biomedical Science graduate and a Valedictorian candidate.

Personal: Daughter of Marcos and Adriana Bocanegra. Majoring in Applied Science. Enjoys the gym, hiking and cooking. Lists winning a Golden Eagle Award for 2024-25 as her most exciting experience in sports.
