Summary

Biography

2025: Had an outstanding season for Cal State LA’s track and field team in the spring in her second year with the program. Had best marks of 26.20 in the 200, 59.53 in the 400 and 61.97 in the 400 hurdles in outdoor track and 26.78 in the 200 and 59.83 in the 400 in indoor track. Finished third in the 400 hurdles at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 61.97 and earned All-CCAA honors. Was also part of the 4x400 relay team that finished fourth at the CCAA Championships. Also competed once again for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in five of the team’s six events. Had a best 5,000-meter time of 24:38.4 at the Biola Invitational. Had a best 6,000-meter time of 27:45.0 at the UC Riverside Highlander Invitational. Finished 99th at the CCAA Championships with a time of 28:29.4 over 6,000 meters and placed 190th at the NCAA West Regional with a time of 28:18.2 over 6,000 meters.

2024: Competed for Cal State LA’s track and field team in the spring in her first year with the program. Had best times of 27.61 in the 200, 62.04 in the 400 and 64.35 in the 400 hurdles. Placed seventh in the 400 hurdles at the CCAA Championships. Was also on the 4x400 relay team that finished sixth in the conference. Competed well for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in four races and was a steady contributor. Had a best 5,000-meter time of 22:59.0 at the Biola Invitational. Had a best 6,000-meter time of 27:12.7 at the Highlander Invitational. Finished 94th at the CCAA Championships with a time of 28:21.9 over 6,000 meters and 186th at the NCAA West Regional with a time of 27:43.33 over 6,000 meters.

At West Los Angeles College: Competed as part of the 4x400 relay team in the state championships. Earned first-team All-Western State-South Conference honors in soccer.
 
At Santa Monica High School: Competed in track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Christine Romo. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys cooking, soccer and drawing. Lists making it to state and winning the 4x400 title in conference, adding the 400 hurdles as an event and placing first in conference with the soccer team as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she was proudly born in Jalisco, Mexico.
