Summary

Biography

2022-23: Was a major contributor for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Posted a 6-5 singles record and was 7-6 overall. Had a 5-2 record at No. 6 singles and also played four matches at No. 5 singles. Had a 5-9 overall record in doubles, including a 5-8 mark with Courtlyn Mayo. That duo had a 4-6 record at No. 3 doubles. An outstanding student as well, earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for a second straight year. Earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators and a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2022-23 Academic All-PacWest honors for a second straight year. For her career, had an overall record of 11-12 in singles, including a 9-8 mark in dual matches. Had an overall record of 13-19 in doubles, including a 10-14 mark in dual matches.

2021-22: Was a key part of the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Contributed at No. 6 singles and had a 3-3 record in dual matches. Also had an 8-10 overall record in doubles with Courtlyn Lam, going 2-3 in tournaments and 6-7 in dual matches. Had a 6-6 record at No. 3 doubles. Earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for 2021-22 and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team Award. Also earned 2021-22 Academic All-PacWest honors.

At Santa Monica College: Was nominated for the school’s Athlete of the Year. Was on the school’s Dean’s List all four semesters and received a 2020 SMC Academic Athlete Award for women’s tennis.

At Culver City High School: Earned first-team All-Ocean League honors all four years in high school and also was the tennis team’s Most Valuable Player all four years.

Personal: Daughter of Darryl and Karen Mayo. Majoring in business management. Enjoys making origamis and lanyards in her free times. Also loves binge watching television shows and anything that involves Marvel/Disney and spending time with family and friends. Lists her senior year in high school and being on the first team to make it to CIF Finals as her most exciting experience in sports. Says they had the home court advantage so all her family members were able to support the team throughout the competition. Notes her great uncle was Tommy Agee, who played for the New York Mets and was part of the 1969 Miracle Mets.
