Summary

Biography

2019-20: Was having an outstanding year for the Golden Eagles when the season was halted. Had a 7-5 overall record in singles, including a 5-3 record in dual matches. Was 2-0 at No. 5 singles and 3-3 at No. 6 singles. Also had a 5-6 overall record in doubles, including a 5-4 mark in duals. Had a 3-2 record at No. 3 doubles with Sakura Kurokawa. Earned 2019-20 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors for a third straight year. In her three years with the program, had a 32-27 record in singles, including a 26-22 mark in dual matches. Had a 31-28 overall record in doubles, including a 26-23 record in dual matches. 
 
2018-19:
Was a valuable member of the team in her second season with the program. Had a 13-9 overall record in singles, including an 11-8 mark in dual matches. Had a 9-8 record at No. 6 singles and a 2-0 mark at No. 5 singles. Also had a 12-10 overall record in doubles, including a 10-9 record in dual matches with three different partners. Earned 2018-19 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

2017-18: Had a strong first season with the Golden Eagles and made an immediate impact with the program. Had a 12-13 overall record in singles, including a 10-11 mark in dual matches. Had her best success at No. 5 singles, where she went 6-2. Also played at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 spots. Had an 11-6 record in doubles with partner Chelsey Ruiz (9-5 in duals) and had a 14-12 record overall and a mark of 11-10 in duals. Earned 2017-18 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

At Ventura College: Was the Western State Conference Player of the Year in 2016. Captured the conference singles championship and was first-team all-conference in singles and doubles. Advanced to the state quarterfinals.

At Weil Tennis Academy Prep: Competed in tennis at Sugiyama Jyogakuen High School and made it to the quarterfinals of the national tournament.

Personal: Daughter of Takeshi and Jocelyn Sagara. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys going to nature and playing with dogs. Lists winning the Western State Conference championship as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she likes nature.
