Summary

Biography

2024-25: Was a main contributor once again for the Golden Eagles in her fourth and final season with the program. Was second on the team in singles wins with five and added three doubles victories. Was 5-8 overall, all in dual matches, in singles play. Had the team’s biggest singles point, as the last match on the court, in a 4-3 win over Westmont on April 4 on Senior Day. Posted an exciting 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles. Was 3-4 at No. 6 singles and 2-3 at No. 5 singles. Also played one match at No. 4 singles. Had a 3-9 overall record in doubles, including a 3-6 mark in dual matches. Had a 2-1 record with Sofia Pavlova at No. 2 doubles. Earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and a 2024-25 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2024-25 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors. For her career, had an overall record of 11-29 in singles, including a 9-24 mark in dual matches and an overall record of 21-40 in doubles, including a 17-31 mark in dual matches.

2023-24: Was a team leader for the Golden Eagles in her third season with the program. Played through injury and was still a consistent contributor to the team. Played primarily in doubles and shared the team lead in wins. Was 5-12 overall and 4-11 in dual matches, all with partner Rochelle Suarez. Finished the season with wins over Biola on April 9 and at Hope International on April 10 and had wins in three of the last four matches. An outstanding student once again, earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award. Earned a 2023-24 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2023-24 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

2022-23: Made significant contributions for the Golden Eagles in her second season with the Golden Eagles. Battled through injury and was a steady contributor throughout the season. Had a 4-6 record at No. 3 doubles with Savaughna Mayo and was 5-9 in doubles overall. Had a 2-10 overall record in singles, including a 1-1 mark in tournament play. Recorded a singles win at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win against Hope International on March 18. An outstanding student, earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. Earned a 2022-23 ITA Scholar-Athlete Award and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award. Earned a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. Also earned 2022-23 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

2021-22: Earned the team’s Most Improved Award in 2022. Had a singles record of 3-7 in dual matches at No. 6 singles and posted an 8-10 record with Savaughna Mayo in doubles. Duo went 2-3 in tournament play and 6-7 in dual matches, including a 6-6 mark at No. 3 doubles. Earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award for 2021-22 and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team award. Also earned 2021-22 Academic All-PacWest Conference honors.

2020-21: Earned an ITA Scholar-Athlete Award for 2020-21 and was instrumental in Cal State LA earning an ITA All-Academic Team Award in her first year with the program.

At Triad High School: Was a four-time 1A-4A Oregon District singles champion. Won the 1A-4A Oregon State Singles Championship twice in 2018 and 2019 and was named the Oregon Athlete of the State Meet in singles in 2019. Was the Herald & News Girls Tennis Athlete of the Year from 2017-19. Was the team Most Valuable Player all four years in high school. Earned a Skyline Conference Academic Award all four years in high school and was on the school’s Grand Honor Roll all four years as well. Was the Valedictorian of the graduating class and was a member of Honors Society from 2017-20.

Personal: Daughter of Frank and Bonnie Lam. Majored in business administration and pursuing her Master’s degree in healthcare management. Enjoys traveling, photography and shopping. Lists going to the conference tournament in Surprise, Arizona as a freshman as her most exciting experience in sports.
