Summary

Biography

2019: Completed her brilliant Cal State LA career with another sensational season. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors and was one of the conference’s best defenders. Appeared in all 18 games and started 17 times. Played a total of 1,602 minutes, which led the team among field players. Scored two goals and had a total of four points. Scored her first goal of the season against Point Loma on Sept. 14 and got her second against UC San Diego on Nov. 2. For her career, appeared in 63 games with 32 starts. Played a total of 3,564 minutes. Had five goals and two assists for 10 points.

2018: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles after a position change to the backline. Appeared in 17 games and started the last 11 contests of the season. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Contributed two goals and had a total of four points. Finished tied for third on goals scored and tied for sixth in points. Scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win at San Francisco State on Sept. 28. Also had the first goal in a 2-1 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 27. Earned a 2018-19 CCAA All-Academic Award and a CCAA Fall Academic Award.

2017: Had her best season yet with the Golden Eagles and appeared in 16 games with three starts. Had one goal and one assist for a total of three points. Notched the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Cal State San Marcos on Sept. 22. Had an assist on a game-winning goal from Paulina Chaidez in a 2-1 win at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 8. Earned a 2017-18 CCAA All-Academic Award for a second straight year and a CCAA Fall Academic Award.

2016: Saw her first competition for the Golden Eagles and appeared in 12 games. Got her first career start at Sonoma State on Oct. 29. Played a season-high 83 minutes in that game. Picked up an assist on a goal by Anahie Duran at Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 16. Earned a 2016-17 CCAA All-Academic Award.

2015: Did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles and was a redshirt.

At Dos Pueblos High School: Was her team’s Most Valuable Player twice and a CIF Athlete of the Year nominee. Earned first-team All-League honors twice and All-City honors twice. Also received All-County honorable mention. Competed in soccer, volleyball and softball.

Personal: Daughter of Dave and Jean Willett. Majoring in child development. Enjoys  hiking, snowboarding, going to the beach and playing spike ball. Lists playing in the CCAA Tournament every year she’s been with Cal State LA as her most exciting experience in sports.
