Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Was a key member of Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring in her final year with the program. Had a 3-3 record at No. 2 pairs before the season was halted.

2019: Began her Cal State LA career as a member of the No. 2 pairs with Janessa Mata on the Golden Eagles’ beach volleyball team. Competed well for the Golden Eagles’ indoor team in the fall. Played in 23 matches as a defensive specialist and had a total of 36 digs. Was fifth on the team in service aces with 17. Had a season-high 10 digs in a four-set win at Cal State San Marcos on Nov. 9.

At Long Beach City College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors as a right-side hitter.

At Lakewood High School: Competed in volleyball and gymnastics. Was a team Most Valuable Player and earned the Captain’s Award. Was also on the Principal’s Honor Roll and was a Scholar-Athlete all four years in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Dewey and Michelle Kaeka. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys volleyball, going to the beach, travelling, and being with friends. Lists placing second in state in beach volleyball and almost winning first individually as her most exciting experiences in sports. Notes she will be graduating in the spring of 2020.
