Biography

At L.A. Valley College: Was the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2010-11 and earned first-team All-Western State South Conference honors. Averaged 14.6 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. Was third in the conference in field-goal percentage at 51 percent and fifth in rebounding.

At Walnut High School: Was a four-year varsity player. Was a two-time San Antonio League Most Valuable Player and also earned first-team All-CIF honors in 2007 and 2008. Also earned All-League honors in 2005 and 2006. Competed in basketball and track and field. Finished her Walnut basketball career as the program’s all-time leading scorer and No. 2 rebounder.

Personal: Daughter of Ricardo and Annabelle Najera. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys basketball and cooking. Lists playing for Coach Monica Hang as her most exciting experience in sports.
