Summary

Biography

2011-12: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 25 games and started three times. Played a total of 394 minutes. Averaged 5.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Also had 27 assists and 31 steals. Had a season-high 14 points and three steals in a first-round California Collegiate Athletic Association victory at Cal Poly Pomona (2-28-12). Also had 12 points and five steals at Cal Poly Pomona (2-22-12). Had 11 points in an NCAA playoff game against Alaska Anchorage in her final game with the program (3-3-12). For her career, appeared in 50 games and started 15 times. Played a total of 998 minutes. Averaged 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Also had 66 assists and 68 steals. 

2010-11: Had a solid first season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 25 games and started 12 times. Was third on the team in scoring with 8.9 points per game. Had a season-high 22 points to lead the Golden Eagles past Western Oregon (12-18-10). Also had 20 points in a win at Cal State Dominguez Hills (11-23-10). Had 18 points in a pair of games at San Francisco State (1-8-11) and at Humboldt State (2-25-11). Reached double figures in scoring 10 times, including two of the last three games of the season.

At Saint Mary’s College: Appeared in 54 games over two seasons for the Gaels. Averaged 2.7 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 10.5 minutes per game as a sophomore in 2008-09. Scored a career-high 13 points at San Francisco (2-5-09). Grabbed a career-high five rebounds against San Francisco (1-10-09) and had a career-high five assists at Nevada (11-23-08). Had 10 points against Indiana and seven points against California. Played in 28 games as a freshman and shot 50 percent from behind the 3-point arc (12-of-24). Had a season-high eight points at Portland (2-2-08). Averaged 2.0 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 8.4 minutes per game.

At St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School: Earned four varsity letters in basketball. Averaged 12.6 points and 4.1 assists per game as a senior. Scored a season-high 29 paoints in the BSAL Championship. Named to the West Coast Jamboree and Healdsburg Tournament MVP in 2006-07. Led her team to BSAL, NCS and NorCal championships. Named first-team All-BSAL, Vallejo Times Herald All-City Basketball (06-07) and Division IV Cal Hi Sports Second Team.

Personal: Daughter of Antonio and Henrietta Ruiz. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys music, the NBA, eating and shopping. Lists going 30-4 and winning BSAL and NCS Championships in high school as her most exciting experience in sports.
