Biography

2010: Had a fantastic final season for the Golden Eagles and added more sensational accolades to his career. Shared the 2009-10 Frank J. Candida Award with Josh Como as Cal State L.A.'s top male athlete. Earned three more All-America awards in the 100 meters, 200 and 4x100 relay. Finished second in the nation in the 200 for the second time. Also finished second in the nation in the 100 and third in the 4x100 relay. Earned four All-California Collegiate Athletic Association awards after winning conference titles in the 200 and 4x100 relay, finishing second in the 100 and placing third as part of the 4x400 relay team. Had best marks of 10.44 in the 100 and 20.74 in the 200. For his career, earned six All-America awards, won five CCAA championships and earned six All-CCAA awards. Had best marks of 10.40 in the 100 and 20.55 in the 200. Finished his career No. 2 all-time in the 200, No. 4 all-time in the 100 and No. 1 all-time in the 4x100 relay with a time of 40.00. Had three national runner-up finishes and five top-three finishes.

2009: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles last year.

2008: Had a tremendous first season at Cal State L.A. Earned three All-America awards after finishing second in the nation in the 200, sixth in the nation in the 100 and anchoring the 4x100 relay team that finished third in the country. Was named the CCAA Newcomer of the Year. Won conference championships in the 100, 200 and the 4x100. His winning time of 20.99 in the 200 set a new CCAA meet record. Had best times of 10.40 in the 100, 20.55 in the 200 and 40.00 in the 4x100. Is No. 2 on Cal State L.A.’s all-time list in the 200, fourth in the 100 and is part of the school record-holding team in the 4x100.

At Long Beach City College: Won the state championship in the 200 meters and was third in the 400. Had a best time of 20.71 in the 200 at Long Beach.

At Rialto High School: Was on the school’s Honor Roll three years in a row and part of a football team that went 10-0.

Personal: Son of Leonard White and Terrlyn Conroe. Majoring in communications. Enjoys car clubbing, talking to girls, modeling, making money and getting tattoos. Lists going to the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2008 as his most exciting experience in sports. Reached the quarterfinals of the 200 in the Olympic Trials. Was ranked No. 15 in the U.S. in 2009 in the 200 after setting a new Jesse Owens Track record of 20.34 while running unattached. Says he is a funny guy, is a lot of fun and has a lot of goals.
