Cal State LA Athletics

2010: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best marks of 6-8.25 in the high jump and 18-8 in the long jump. FInished 15th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships in the long jump. Did not clear a height in the high jump at the conference meet. For his career, had best marks of 6-10.75 in the high jump and 20-10.50 in the long jump.

2009: Had an outstanding first season for the Golden Eagles. Cleared 6-10.75 and qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships. Finished 11^th in the nation. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention after finishing third in the high jump at the conference championships. Also had a best mark of 20-10.50 in the long jump and competed in that event at the conference championships.

At Pasadena City College: Won Southern California and State championships in the high jump. Captured the state title with a mark of 6-11.

At Palmdale High School: Competed in track and field, basketball and volleyball. Was No. 1 in the state in the high jump. Earned All-CIF honors and was the Golden League Most Valuable Player.

Personal: Son of Billy and Debra Hicks. Majoring in Theatre Arts and Dance. Enjoys basketball, drawing, taking photos and NASCAR. Lists jumping 6-10 in the high jump in the CIF Masters Meet in high school to become No. 1 in the state as his most exciting experience in sports.
