Biography

2010-11: Had a sensational season for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Started all 28 games and played a total of 1,020 minutes. Averaged 12.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Was second on the team in scoring and led the team in rebounding. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors and was named to the CCAA All-Tournament Team. Had a season-high 26 points in an 85-80 win at San Francisco State (1-8-11). Had 24 points and eight rebounds at UC San Diego (1-13-11). Had 23 points at Humboldt State (1-21-11). Had 19 points and a season-high 20 rebounds in a 71-62 win against Chico State (12-30-10). Reached double figures in scoring 18 times and scored 20 or more points three times. Reached double figures in rebounds 11 times. Had eight double-doubles.

At Sacramento State: Was limited to four games and 42 minutes of playing time in the 2009-10 season because of injury. Averaged 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.

At Riverside City College: Played for two seasons and helped lead the team to the 2008-09 state championship. Was named the championship tournament’s Most Valuable Player after averaging 12.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 32.0 minutes per game. Had five of his team-high 18 points in overtime of a 69-60 win in the championship game against Saddleback College. Earned first-team all-Orange Empire League honors after averaging 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Appeared in 32 of 33 games as a freshman while averaging 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

At Norco High School: Played basketball for four seasons and football for one year. Graduated with honors with a 3.3 grade point average. Earned All-Conference and All-CIF honors after averaging 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists per game. Was a wide receiver for one season on the football team.

Personal: Son of David Norris and Rebetha Peterman. Majoring in communications. Enjoys basketball, football, music, eating and life. Lists winning the state championship at Riverside City College as his most exciting experience in sports.
