Cal State LA Athletics

2023: Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in three meets. Made his Cal State LA debut at the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Challenge on Sept. 23. Had a best 8,000-meter time of 31:39.5 at the UCR Highlander Classic on Oct. 14. Placed 82^nd at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a 10,000-meter time of 32:11.3 on Oct. 21. Also competed for Cal State LA’s track and field team in the spring. Had best times of 2:20.15 in the 800 meters and 4:47.55 in the 1,500.

At East Los Angeles College: Competed in cross country and track and field. Had best times of 2:05.92 in the 800 and 4:14.54 in the 1,500 in 2023.

At Bell High School: Competed in cross country and track and field.

Personal: Son of Gerardo and Belen Zuniga. Majoring in business administration/supply chain management. Enjoys biking, fishing and street hockey. Lists qualifying for CIF Finals in the 4x400 relay in high school as his most exciting experience in sports.
