Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association recognition after placing third in the shot put at the CCAA Championships. Also finished 13^th in the discus and 21^st in the hammer. Had best marks of 41-5.25 in the shot put, 130-7 in the discus and 130-0 in the hammer. Also competed for Cal State LA’s indoor team. Had best marks of 41-1.75 in the shot put and 42-8 in the weight throw. Earned CCAA 2023-24 All-Academic honors.

At Etiwanda High School: Was a four-year varsity letter winner. Was a three-year throws captain. Was a California Winter champion and a six-time Baseline League champion in the shot put and discus. Had best marks of 41-2 in the shot put and 119-4 in the discus. Was a scholar-athlete all four years in high school. Participated in the CIF Finals three times and Masters twice. Set school records in the shot put and discus. Was the team Most Valuable Player in 2022 and 2023 and the school’s Most Dedicated Athlete in 2023. Earned Academic Achievement for a grade point average of 3.50 and higher all four years in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Jerome Pointer and Michele White. Majoring in communication. Notes she was a three-year journalism manager for ENN, on the Principal’s Honor Roll for the fall of 2022 and was the school’s Senior Prom Queen.
