Cal State LA Athletics

2023: Made big contributions against for the Golden Eagles in her second and final season with the program. Appeared in 19 games with 12 starts. Played a total of 935 minutes. Got the assist on a goal by Thaiz Hernandez with a perfectly-placed corner kick that was headed in for the only goal of a 1-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 2. Played a career-high 82 minutes in an NCAA playoff game against Simon Fraser on Nov. 16. Made her season debut and started in a 1-0 win at Concordia on Aug. 31. Played 54 minutes in the victory. Scored a goal for Puerto Rico’s national team in a 2-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago in a Concacaf Gold Cup qualifying match on Oct. 28 and returned to play in Cal State LA’s last five games of the season. For her career, appeared in 35 games with 16 starts. Played a total of 1,260 minutes. Had two assists for two points.

2022: Made significant contributions for the Golden Eagles in her first year with the program. Appeared in 16 games with two starts. Played a total of 325 minutes. Had one assist. Made her Cal State LA debut and played 34 minutes against Point Loma on Sept. 17. Got her first start and played a season-high 41 minutes in a 1-0 win at Chico State on Oct. 2. Also started and played 28 minutes in a 2-1 win over Sonoma State on Oct. 14. Also competed for Cal State LA’s track and field team in the spring (2023). Had a best mark of 13.81 in the 100 meters.

At Long Beach State: Competed in two games as a freshman in 2021. Played a season-high 10 minutes against Cal in her Long Beach State debut on Sept. 19. Also played seven minutes against UC San Diego on Sept. 23.

At Newport Harbor High School: Was a four-year letterwinner and earned all-league honors all four seasons, including three first-team awards. Scored 63 goals and had 93 assists during her high-school career. Earned all-CIF honors all four seasons. Earned team Player of the Year honors as a junior and senior. Also won nationals with her club team, Slammers FC.

Personal: Daughter of Shaun and Caroline Rodriguez. Majoring in marketing. Enjoys cooking and spending family time. Lists being on the Puerto Rico National Team as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she loves to travel, exercise and sleep.
