Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Competed in four events for Cal State LA’s cross country program in the fall. Had a best time of 22:46.93 over 5,000 meters at the Coyote Classic on Sept. 21. Also ran well for Cal State LA’s track and field team in a shortened season (2020). Had best times of 65.68 in the 400 meters and 2:33.47 in the 800.

At John W. North High School: Was on the school’s Honor Roll all four years. Was on a team that won Ivy League championships three times and made it to the CIF Finals once. Was awarded the John W. North Athlete of Character Award in 2019. Competed in cross country and track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Christopher and Yvonne Soriano. Majoring in communicative disorders. Enjoys cooking and hanging out with friends and family. Lists being on the first team from John W. North High School to make it to CIF finals, being league champions three years in a row and being a part of the John W. North Hall of Fame Ceremony as her most exciting experiences in sports and notes that she enjoys seeing hard work pay off.
