Cal State LA Athletics

2021: Competed in five events for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall in her final year with the program. Finished 77^th in the CCAA Championships with a time of 24:58.3 over 6,000 meters and placed 165^th in the NCAA West Regionals with a time of 26:57.8 over 6,000 meters. Had a best 5,000-meter time of 21:35.5 while finishing 148^th in the UC Riverside Invitational.

2020: Earned 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors and also received 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition for cross country and 2021 CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition for track and field. Teams did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Was on Cal State LA’s cross country roster in the fall, but did not compete in any competitions for the Golden Eagles. Made her Cal State LA debut in track and field during the shortened season (2020). Had a best mark of 13:01.14 in the 3,000 meters. Received 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Downey High School: Earned the team’s Student-Athlete Award in 2017 and graduated with honors. Was part of a cross country team that became the first in school history to make it to CIF finals in 2016. Received the Mary R. Stauffer Scholar-Athlete Award from 2016-18.

Personal: Daughter of Victor and Monica Aguilar. Majoring in exercise science. Enjoys painting, walking my dog and journaling. Lists making the CIF Finals with her high school cross country team in 2016 as her most exciting experience in spots. Notes she enjoys making polymer clay earrings and drinking coffee.
