Summary

Biography

2022: Had a fantastic season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the track and field program. Had a pair of top-four finishes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Placed fourth in the 110 hurdles with a mark of 14.70 and fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.22. Had best marks of 51.82 in the 400 meters, 14.66 in the 110 hurdles and 55.06 in the 400 hurdles. For his career, had best marks of 24.33 in the 200, 51.82 in the 400, 14.66 in the 110 hurdles and 55.06 in the 400 hurdles. Earned 2022 CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2021: Earned 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors and also received 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll for cross country and 2021 CCAA Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition for track and field. Was on the track and field roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019:  Competed in two events for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Had a best 8,000-meter time of 33:26.40 while finishing 128th at the Coyote Challenge on Sept. 21. Was off to a strong start for Cal State LA’s track and field team in the shortened season (2020). Had best marks of 15.01 in the 110 high hurdles and 55.54 in the 400 hurdles. Earned 2019 California Collegiate Athletic Association Fall All-Academic and 2020 CCAA Spring All-Academic honors.

2018: Did not compete for Cal State LA’s cross country team, but had a good first season with Cal State LA’s track and field program (2019). Finished fifth in the CCAA Championships in the 110 high hurdles and had a best time of 15.12. Also had best times of 24.33 in the 200 and 55.03 in the 400.

At Heritage High School: Placed first in the Tri-Valley and South Coast sections in the 110 hurdles and was the MVP of the school’s track and field team. Also won the conference championship in the 110 hurdles and won that event at the Arcadia Invitational. Had a best time of 14.68 in the 110 hurdles. Competed in football, basketball and track and field. Was on the school’s Honor Roll all eight semesters in high school.

Personal: Son of Rickey and Vivalyn Williams. Majoring in pre-med nutritional science. Enjoys listening to music, reading and hanging out with friends. Lists competing at the 2019 CCAA Championships as his most exciting experience in sports.
