2022: Made meaningful contributions for the NCAA Division II West Region and California Collegiate Athletic Association champions in her final year with the program. Appeared in 11 matches and 17 sets. Had four kills, five service aces and 18 digs. Had two kills in five swings and a career-high five digs in a win over Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 14. Also had two kills in two swings in a win against Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 29. Had two service aces in a win at Chico State on Nov. 4. For her career, appeared in 22 matches and 45 sets. Had eight kills, 13 service aces and 18 digs.

2021: Made meaningful contributions for the Golden Eagles in the fall. Appeared in seven matches and 27 sets for the indoor team in the fall. Had four kills in 10 swings for a .400 hitting percentage. Also had eight service aces and seven digs. Had a season-high two kills in a four-set win over Humboldt State on Sept. 17. Had a season-high two aces against Cal Poly Pomona in a first-round NCAA playoff win on Dec. 2. Also had two aces in a four-set win over San Francisco State on Nov. 5 and against Sonoma State in a first-round CCAA Tournament win on Nov. 18. Had a season-high four digs against Cal State San Bernardino in a second-round NCAA playoff win on Dec. 3. Also competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball in the spring (2022). Played in five matches, two at No. 4 pairs and three at No. 5 pairs.

2020: Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Joined Cal State LA’s volleyball program in the fall and appeared in one match. Played in one set in a four-set win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 21. Was also on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2020). Received 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Cathedral Catholic High School: Was on the school’s Honor Roll and was an All-Tournament Most Valuable Player as a freshman. Was a Player of the Match on Oct. 4 and 6 in 2017 and Aug. 26 in 2018.

Personal: Daughter of Sam Niu and Nancy Le. Majoring in biology. Enjoys digital art, teaching piano lessons, coaching and watching Netflix. Lists beating Cal State San Bernardino in the NCAA Tournament last season and putting up banners from winning tournaments in high school as her most exciting experiences in sports.
