2006: Was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Newcomer of the Year after finishing 13^th in the conference finals and earning All-CCAA honors. Also finished 25^th in the NCAA Division II West Regional and was the No. 4 runner on the Golden Eagle championship team. Also placed 61^st and was the team’s No. 5 runner on the Golden Eagles’ team that finished fourth in the nation. Earned All-CCAA honors in track and field as well in 2007 by finishing second in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:57.30.

At Glendale College: Was the Most Valuable Runner for the cross country team for two seasons, earned second-team All-Conference honors in cross country. Earned All-Conference honors in track and field in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. Cross country team won a conference championship. Was a team captain for both cross country and track and field teams.

Personal: Daughter of Anastacio Cespedes. Majoring in child development. Enjoys running, movies and hanging out with friends. Lists traveling to different places and going to nationals as her most exciting experiences in sports.
