Cal State LA Athletics

2018: Competed well for the Golden Eagles' track and field team in his final season with the program. Had a best time of 49.34 in the 400 meters. Was part of Cal State LA's California Collegiate Athletic Association champion 4x400 relay team. Earned All-West Region honors as part of the relay team. For his career, had best times of 49.34 in the 400, 1:55.14 in the 800 and 4:10.67 in the 1,500. 

2017: Was on the track and field roster, but did not compete for the Golden Eagles.

2016: Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall in his one year with the program. Ran in five meets. Finished 89^th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 31:54.8 over 10,000 meters. Had a third impressive season with the Cal State LA track and field team in the spring. Recorded his best mark of the season in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.14 in the All on the Line Meet at Westmont College on May 14. Also had best times of 4:10.67 in the 1,500 and 50.59 in the 400.

2015: Had a second strong season with the Golden Eagles' track and field team in the spring. Finished seventh in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.88. That time was a personal best. Also had a best mark of 4:10.08 in the 1,500.

2014: Had the track and field team’s best 800-meter time with a mark of 1:58.87. Also had a best time of 4:23.15 in the 1,500.

At Atascadero High School: Competed in track and field, cross country, soccer and golf. Was on the winning 4x800 relay team at the Arcadia Invitational. Ran a 4:26 mile at CIF and recorded a time of 16:34 in the 5,000 meters. Was on the school’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Son of Raul and Patty Ramirez. Majoring in human and health services. Enjoys surfing, running and snowboarding. Lists being on the first-place team in the 4x800 relay at the Arcadia Invitational as his most exciting experience in sports.
