Cal State LA Athletics

2014-15: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 26 games and started nine times. Played a total of 431 minutes. Averaged 3.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Scored a season-high 11 points and had seven rebounds at Cal Poly Pomona (2-20-15). Also had eight points and a season-high eight rebounds at Point Loma (12-10-14). Had seven points, six rebounds and five blocks in a 63-53 win over Cal State East Bay (2-13-15). For his career, appeared in 50 games and started 17 times. Played a total of 734 minutes. Averaged 3.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

2013-14: Made positive contributions in his first year with the program. Appeared in 24 games and made eight starts.  Averaged 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Got his first career start and scored a season-high 15 points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in a win over Cal State East Bay (1-31-14). Was 6-of-7 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line in his 22-minute outing. Also made a start and hit his only field-goal attempt in CCAA Championship Tournament game against Cal State Stanislaus (3-6-14).

At San Bernardino Valley College: Appeared in 22 games last season and led the team in blocked shots. Was also third on the team in rebounds. Earned All-Foothill Conference honorable mention.

At La Verne Lutheran High School: Was part of state championship teams in 2010-11. Earned the California State Character Award in 2010.

Personal: Son of David and Linda Jones. Majoring in math. Enjoys movies and reading. Lists going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during his senior year as his most exciting experience in sports. Says his twin sister plays basketball at University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB).
