Nevaeh Asiasi Earns WBCA All-America Honors

ATLANTA -- Cal State LA's Nevaeh Asiasi added yet another accolade on Wednesday to her impressive haul of honors after a sensational 2025-26 season.

Asiasi is now a women's basketball All-American. The senior guard earned All-America honorable mention from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Asiasi was previously named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year, the CCAA Tournament Most Valuable Player and earned first-team All-Region honors from the D2 Conference Commissioners Association.

She led the CCAA in scoring with 19.4 points per game and led the Golden Eagles with 8.7 rebounds per game and 3.6 assists per game. She also led the team and conference with 36.6 minutes per game.

The WBCA named its 10-player All-America team on Wednesday that included Player of the Year Natalie Bremer of Minnesota State University, Makato, Asher Cai of Central Washington, Taylor Hinkle of Holy Family, Olivia Lee of Union University, Sydney Nelson of Cal Poly Pomona, Olivia Reed Thyne of Colorado Mesa, Reese Schaaf of Central Missouri, Paige VanStee of Grand Valley, Talexa Weeter of Fort Hays State and Lili Wilken of University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Asaisi was one of 30 players who earned honorable mention. Olivia Hodges of Western Washington and Izzy Navarro of Point Loma were the other West Region players to earn honorable mention.

Nelson and Asiasi were the only two players from the CCAA to be honored.

Asiasi becomes the sixth player in program history to earn All-America honors and only the third since 1989. Monica Tokoro earned second-team honors in 2003 and Nicole Flennaugh earned honorable mention in 2023.
