Golden Eagles Brave The Elements With Clutch Day

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- On a day featuring cold temperatures and heavy winds, Cal State LA's women's golf braved the elements and earned an impressive finish at the WT D2 West Regional Preview.

The Golden Eagles started the day in sixth place and climbed up to a solid fifth-place finish among the best field of West Region opponents Tuesday at the Tascosa Golf Club. Cal State LA shot a final-round of 22-over-par 306 on a day with extremely tough scoring conditions due to the heavy winds. The Golden Eagles had a three-round score of 898 and found themselves right in the mix against some of the top-ranked teams in the nation.
