Cal State LA Announces Updated Policy With No Fans

LOS ANGELES -- Due to the continuing and historic rise of COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County, Cal State LA Athletics has announced that spectators will not be permitted at any athletic events for the foreseeable future, effective immediately.

This has an impact on Thursday's men's and women's basketball games against Sonoma State. Due to the new announcement, no spectators will be allowed for those games. Saturday's games against Humboldt State were canceled due to COVID-19 protocols in the Humboldt State programs.

Cal State LA's next home events after this week are basketball games on Jan. 27 against Cal State Monterey Bay. No fans would be allowed at those games, either, under the new policy.

The campus will continue to follow guidelines based on the latest public health protocols.

Cal State LA basketball games will continue to be shown on the CCAA Network, which started a pay model on Jan. 1. A subscription of $9.95 per month will allow subscribers unlimited access to all CCAA broadcasts from all 12 universities in the conference both live and on-demand.
