LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's men's basketball team put on a long-range shooting display in a non-conference win over Bethesda on Friday.
The Golden Eagles knocked down 18 of their 31 attempts from 3-point range in a 108-55 win over the Flames in University Gym. Cal State LA (7-4) was a remarkable 13-of-17 from 3-point range in the first half while racing out to a 55-17 halftime lead.
Sean Estes led the way with 24 points, all coming via eight 3-pointers in 10 attempts.
Estes led five Golden Eagles in double figures. Ramon Arlot and
Michael-Isaiah Ajiboye had 16 points each.
Khalil Williams had 15 points and
CJ Fisher had a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double.
Josiah Woods had 19 points to lead Bethesda.
Anthony Booker had eight points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles, while
Ja'Sean Lewis had 10 rebounds to go along with four points.
The Golden Eagles shot 55.6 percent for the game (40-of-72), while limiting Bethesda (2-12) to just 23.5 percent shooting (16-of-68).
Cal State LA also had a 64-27 rebounding edge and committed only nine turnovers to 15 for the Flames.
Cal State LA will return to action on Thursday in a California Collegiate Athletic Association game at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
