Box Score ROHNERT PARK -- Cal State L.A.'s women's volleyball team had its last roadtrip of the season get off to a rocky start.
The Golden Eagles fell behind early and never could get themselves back in the match and dropped a California Collegiate Athletic Association match at Sonoma State, 25-17, 25-11, 25-17. Cal State L.A. (10-13, 8-8 CCAA) lost its second straight match and slipped to .500 in conference play. The Golden Eagles dropped both matches to Sonoma State (18-7, 12-5 CCAA) this season.
Marquis Mora had eight kills and two blocks for the Golden Eagles, while
Loreal Carter had four kills and three blocks.
Caylie Seitz had 12 kills to lead the Seawolves, while Madelyn Densberger had 10 kills.
Sonoma State had a dominating 44-22 advantage in kills and hit at a .333 percentage while holding the Golden Eagles to just .053. Cal State L.A. had a slim 7-5 advantage in blocks, while Sonoma State had a 7-4 edge in service aces.
Kymberly Silveyra led the Golden Eagles with three service aces.
Reanna Hill had a team-high five blockis.
April Reyes had 16 digs and four set assists.
Cal State L.A. will return to action on Saturday night at San Francisco State in the Golden Eagles' final road match of the season.
